Privacy policy

Larry by The Loop · Last updated 19 October 2026

Larry is an AI executive assistant operated by The Loop Pty Ltd (ABN 39 698 023 522) ("The Loop", "we"). This policy explains what information Larry can access in a customer's Google account, what we do with it, and the controls the customer has.

Who this covers

Larry is set up for a named customer, who connects their own Google account to Larry and approves, on Google's consent screen, exactly what Larry may access. This policy covers the information Larry receives through that connection and through the customer's chat with Larry.

What Larry can access

Google serviceWhat Larry can do
GmailRead and search the customer's email, and create drafts. Larry does not send email.
Google CalendarRead the customer's calendar and availability. Add entries to the customer's own calendar (with no other people on them). Accept, decline, move or cancel meetings and invite people only after the customer approves each action with a one-time code, or under a standing permission the customer has given for people inside their own organisation. Larry cannot change events the customer did not ask him to create, except through those approved actions.
Google DriveRead files inside a single folder the customer chooses, and create documents and spreadsheets in a folder of his own. Larry can only see files he created or that sit in the chosen folder, and nothing he creates is shared with anyone.

Voice messages

The customer can talk to Larry by voice message in Telegram. Voice messages are turned into text on the customer's dedicated server. The audio is not sent to a separate transcription service. The resulting text is treated like a typed message.

How we use it

We use this information only to provide Larry's assistant service to that customer: to summarise their email and calendar, prepare draft replies, remind them of what is outstanding, carry out actions they approve, and answer their questions. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with other customers.

Where it is processed and stored

Who can see it

Our administrators can access a customer's dedicated server to keep it running and to fix faults. The Loop's staff do not read a customer's email, calendar or files, except where the customer asks us to investigate a specific fault, or where the law requires it. We do not disclose a customer's information to anyone else except to the service providers described above, or where required by law.

How long we keep it

Larry keeps short working notes (for example, a list of things the customer has asked him to remember) on the customer's dedicated server. We do not build a separate copy of the customer's mailbox. When a customer ends the service, we delete the server and its contents and remove the stored credentials.

Controls

Google API Services User Data Policy

The Loop's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes

We will update this page if what Larry accesses or how we handle it changes, and change the date at the top.
